Lauren Andrea Glover is a dark comedy and drama writer born and raised in Columbia, Maryland. The fact that her hometown was created by Edward Norton's grandfather as an intentional, idealistic community—with street names taken from fantasy novels and all—made her think it was possible to envision and create new worlds of her own. While in Maryland, she earned a degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse for several years in the psychiatric, intensive care, and hospice fields. The experiences gained from this work fueled her ideas for storytelling.

EXPERIENCE
In 2012, Lauren decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in screenwriting and film studies. Lauren is a 2017 and 2018 Sundance Episodic Lab Finalist, spots she earned by submitting her historical fantasy drama script, Kingdom, and southern gothic drama pilot, The Dirty Spoon. Lauren became a 2020 Sundance Episodic Lab Fellow with the submission of her half-hour dramedy pilot, A Dignified Death, based on her experiences working with hospice patients. She was previously a writer’s assistant on adult animated series, FAIRFAX (AMAZON), and a showrunner’s assistant on LA'S FINEST (SPECTRUM), starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba.
Lauren was a staff writer on the JJ Abrams-produced series, DUSTER (HBO), a story editor on DEMASCUS (TUBI), an executive story editor on an unaired adult animated Netflix series, and a co-producer on NANCY DREW (CW). She was also a producer on FIGHT NIGHT (PEACOCK), starring Kevin Hart and Don Cheadle, and supervising producer on season 11 of CHICAGO MED (NBC). Currently, Lauren has several feature films and original pilots in development.
I’m based in Los Angeles but I am all about that jet-setting life and will happily travel.
